Concept art and storyboards for Jurassic World Rebirth
Creative Production
Concept, ideation, environment design and storyboard work for Universal Pictures' Jurassic World Rebirth, which went on to be produced for the film.
Led by Sean, the work covered the earliest and least visible stage of a feature film, where ideas are tested as drawings before anyone commits a budget to them. From concept to ideation, the work included painted environment concept art of the island setting, with its beaches, jungle and mountain ridges, and storyboard sequences that set the beats of a scene: how it opens, how it turns, where it settles. The boards use hand-drawn dinosaurs over painted environments, which is a deliberate choice at this stage, because a director needs to read staging and movement quickly, not admire rendering.
